Daily Dose Monographic Images 1881 | Barão-Hutter - Alte Reithalle Alte Reithalle is a beautiful film by by Sebastian Vargas, presenting the transformation of the Alte Reithalle in Aarau, Switzerland, into a multifunctional concert, dance, and theater venue. The project, which won first prize in an open competition, represents over a decade of work (2012–2024). While the original spatial program called for two separate halls, Barão-Hutter proposed a design featuring a single, open hall, divided only by long curtains. Upon entering, the fabrics, which also double as an extension of the roof structure, dramatically hang over the foyer. These curtains act as acoustic barriers between the spaces.
