Daily Dose 1320

Massimo Carmassi

Daily Dose You already know what it is 1320 | Massimo Carmassi - Reconstruction of San Michele "The residential complex is the result of the renovation of a block which had been partially destroyed during the Second World War. It consists of three structures with three floors which, together with the apse of the next church, bound a new quadrangular-shaped square. The existing walls of the northern side are completed by a series of offset arches, whereas the eastern side is reconstructed over the plan of the medieval foundations which have been brought back to light and are used as the basis of the new walls. These new walls are built with two layers of bricks which form lost formworks where the reinforced concrete is cast. The northern building hosts two flats with three bedrooms; each flat overlooks the three free sides and have terraces. The eastern lot creates, on the ground floor, a unitary volume destined to trade activities; the upper floors host all together 5 flats." I wish everyone a happy Christmas, Raphael
